What is Social Selling?

Social selling is simply the process of using social networks to sell products. It is primarily used for B2C, but can also be used for B2B. It differs from other forms of advertising because of the platform. It is important to engage with the customer and seem overly-pushy.

How to achieve ‘social sales?

www.wearesocial.net‘s slideshare on social selling tells us “that consumers habits have changed and ‘the sale is no longer the light at the end of the tunnel but the beginning of  a ‘social’ relationship between the brand and the consumer”. Kayla Matthew’s post reminds us that” ‘social selling’ is nothing new but it’s simply changed or been amplified due to the digital landscape”.

Not only does this presentation provide clear explanations around ‘social selling’, in terms of what it means for business, defining the ‘social sale’ and how it works, it shares some great brand campaign examples of successful social selling with some very innovative, creative campaigns across a range of sectors – travel, automotive, hospitality, alcohol and retail.
