My wife is really into scrapbooking and she creates the most amazing cards and scrapbooks. However, no amount of encouragement on my part can convince her of her talent. She believes it’s not her talent, but the plethora of powerful tools and templates available to her which allows her to create the wonderful things she comes up with. Yet, she has the will to be creative and the drive to use those tools effectively. I believe we are all creative geniuses. It’s just that some of us never find the right tool or instrument that we can channel that creativity through or ideas to spark creativity. Here I'm alerting you to two ways GetResponse can help.
I think many email marketers have longed to make their own inspired visions a reality, but have been daunted by the technical knowledge required to do so or are limited by the tools available.
There’s no doubt in my mind that you are a creative genius, you just need some magic to bring your visions to life. That’s why GetResponse created the new Email Creator – to allow you to shine more and sweat less.
Enter the GetResponse “Just Create” template contest and see what your imagination can make happen.
GetResponse is offering a $1000.00 prize for the best email newsletter template design created with the new Email Creator! Anyone can enter because with this amazing new Email Creator, anyone can design fantastic looking templates! Second place will score an iPad 3 and the third place finisher will be awarded a year’s free service with GetResponse!
“Ever since the release of Email Creator, we’ve been seeing amazing designs created by email marketers,” said Simon Grabowski, Founder of GetResponse and CEO of parent company Implix. “This contest lets them show off their design creativity, receive publicity for their design work, and win some great prizes.”
I’m pleased to say that SmartInsights.com is one of the media partners for this contest and has helped generate hundreds of entries to date. Think of this as a kind of pro-am contest. Here’s your chance to pit yourself against professional template designers along with other talented amateurs and see how you stack up. Dave Chaffey has also agreed to be on our judging panel and everyone can get involved by voting for their favourite design via Facebook!
Remember the jury will judge all aspects of a good design: creativity, organization, communication, consistency and style.
On June 27, 2012 the template finalists selected by the jury panel will be announced.
On July 10, 2012 the three lucky winners selected by our panel of experts, who includes Dave Chaffey or Smart Insights. Audience Choice winners will also be selected from the finalists via public voting on Facebook will be announced. I'll do a summary of the best entries here also, so you can learn from these.
