Email sign up and unsubscribe
We have just set up a preference centre and I am reviewing the user journey for email sign up and unsubscribe. What’s best practice can anyone point me in the right direction.
For sign up we are looking at using a email verification to complete the sign up process. Followed up with a thank you for subscribing email.
For the unsubscribe we have been thinking of sending users to our preference centre to manage their communications. Followed up with an email confirmation of any changes made.
Should you use a verification email before sending people to the preference centre, to ensure they're the real user?
Should we be doing something completely different, any advice and feedback would be great?
