Throughout 2015, we have been conducting surveys of our audience, to discover their thoughts on the latest digital marketing trends and their experiences with different digital marketing strategies. If you're a regular Smart Insights reader you will doubtless have seen these surveys and quite possibly taken a few of them. If so, thanks!
We took the data and insights gained from our survey results and blended them with key stats from the industry to produce a series of infographics on the some of they key areas of Digital Marketing today; content marketing, search marketing and mobile marketing. We also created an overview of digital marketing as a whole, so you can see some of the key trends of 2015 at a glance. We hope that by painting this picture of the current digital marketing landscape we can help digital marketers not miss out on any of the most important trends of the year so far.
This infographic is aimed at giving digital marketers an overview of the major trends in digital marketing, such as the growth in the use of smartphones and tablets to search the web. Some interesting stats discovered by our survey were that 93% of B2B marketers were using social media content for their marketing, making it the most popular form of content marketing among digital marketers. Interestingly, Email came top of list when it came to what digital marketers thought were the most effective channels. The ability of email to deliver great ROI is something we have seen lots of studies confirming recently.
Our survey found that content marketing was considered the most important marketing trends in 2015 when it came to delivering results. This was by a huge margin and was twice as popular as the next largest; big data. Given how important it is, we also give you 7 actionable tips for improving your digital marketing in this infographic.
Should you use paid search or SEO? Both can be effective tactics, and which you should use depends on the type business you are and the industry you are in. This infographic shows how paid search can be effective, and gives the key factors which influence your organic SEO.
Mobile overtook desktop as the most used method of browsing the web last year. This year it continues to increase its share at breakneck speed, and will continue to grow in importance.
